In geography, there are 7 continents and 4 oceans. Continents are big pieces of land making up countries and oceans are big areas of water. There are four main directions in geography, north, east, south and west. You would hear these if you were getting directions from a GPS. There are also hemispheres in geography. Thunk of hemispheres as the Earth split into two and imagine one of those as a hemisphere. The last thing in geography are latitude and longitude lines. These lines form an imaginary grid on the earth's surface. These lines make it easier to find places on the earth.
Geography
In economy, there are two types of people, producers and consumers. Producers are the people who work or own the business and consumers are the people who buy the products that the producers make. We measure economy by using GDP's. These tell us how much a country makes per year. There are also many different types of economies. Some being mixed economy and command economy. Mixed economy is the economy we live in. A command economy is a economy where things happen all the time but each time they happenn it is made for a better cause.
Economics
Government
To start off with government, there are 2 types of countries. A developed country and a developing country. A developed country is a country where everything is advanced with high GDP. A developing country is a country where its GDP is low and the country deals wit many problems. There are also a lot of different types of governments. Some of these being a Constitutional Monarchy and Dictatorship. A Constitutional monarchy is where a country has a king or queen that is in power but doesn't have all of the power. A Dictatorship is where a person is in charge walks into power and usually doesn't give his people rights.
Religion
In the world, there is a thing called religion. There are 5 major religions in the world. These being Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism. Also there are 2 types of religion. Polytheistic and Monotheistic. Monotheistic means they believe in one god while polytheistic means they believe in many gods. The most popular religion in the world is Christianity. They believe in the God Jesus Christ.
Culture
People around the world use culture in many different ways. Culture is the way of life of a group of people. Culture includes beliefs, customs and language. There's also a thing called ethnocentrism. Ethnocentrism is saying that your culture is better than others. There's also a thing called acculturation. Acculturation is where people take new ideas and put them into a culture. Some of this being taking Jesus and Saint Nicholas and making Santa Claus.
Africa
In Africa, there was an ancient country of Egypt. In Ancient Egypt, they sacred the beloved Nile River. This river was very amazing towards the Egyptians since it brought them water, transportation and papyrus. Also in Ancient Egypt, they had pharaohs as their kings. One of the most famous pharaohs was King Tutankhamen. He was only 10 when he turned pharaoh!
