In geography for Vaught we learn about latitude and longitude. We're also learning about all the continents like North America, South America, Australia, Antarctica, etc. We also learn about the oceans, globes and navigation.

GEOGRAPHY

ECONOMY AND GOVERNMENT

For Economy and Government Vaught taught us about Producers, Consumers, and Economy. To learn about the producer's job; we made products out of play dough. You'll also be learning about GPD Per Capita, trade, developed, undeveloped countries, and government.

WORLD RELIGIONS

For World Religions we learn about the most common religions around the world like Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, and Islam. We do a project that consists of small and large projects and one of them has to do with Minecraft!

CULTURE

For culture we learned about ethnocentrism, cultural diffusion, and acculturation. We learned a lot about where languages originate from.

AFRICAN KINGDOMS

For our African Kingdoms lesson we learned about trade; with trade we learned the trade routes, what was being traded, and trading partners. We also learned Africa has tons of gold and salt. There was two important people to learn about, Mansa Musa and Ibn Battuta. This lesson consists of Egypt and Mesopotamia.

EAST ASIA

East Asia is the China, Japan, and Korean area. We learn about the countries' past and present leaders. The part about China teaches us the fails of The Great Leap Forward, the Tiananmen Massacre, and what China has came to today. The Korean part teaches us about the divide of North and South Korea and why they hate each other; it also goes on about North Korea and the U.S. starting a nuclear war. The Japan part teaches us about ancient Japan and their feudalism.

INDIA

For our India lesson Vaught taught us about India's Aryan Migration; we learned about how Aryans are different than Indus becauses they were herders not city folks. Then we learned about hinduism; which was their religion. We also about the Caste System which is their leadership standards. Following this we learned about all the different empires and Ghandi.
