Little Pink Kitty moved to a new city with her family on the day before school started. She was afraid. She had loved her old school so much and had a wonderful teacher that she loved so much! The little pink kitty was afraid she would not fit in and not like her teacher and new school.

As her Mommy Kitty took her to her first day at her new school, she was very nervous. She walked into her class and met some new kittens and other animals, but her new teacher was very strict and not very tender. The Little Pink Kitty was heartbroken. She was afraid that this was going to be a bad year.

After school, she told her parents that she didn't like her school and didn't like her teacher. She even cried about it. Mommy Kitty hugged her and told her that some of her teachers had been very strict and that she didn't like them. All of them had turned out to be good teachers after she learned to accept them and decided to have a good attitude about them and school.

The Little Pink Kitty decided right then and there that she would take charge of her own attitude and make the best of her new school and her new teacher.

I'll act better!

The next day Pink Kitty took her new positive attitude to school with her. She made up her mind that things would be better....and they were! She tried harder and participated more - by the end of the day she began to notice that her positive attitude was working and the she had a better outlook about school and her new teacher.

The next day didn't go so well. Everything went wrong. Pink Kitty even said that her new teacher didn't like her. She went home and cried.

She snuggled with her Mommy and Daddy, fell asleep hugging her favorite animal, and got up the next morning not wanting to go to school.

Her Mommy and Daddy both encouraged her to go to school and do her best with her new positive attitude. She didn't want to go, but obeyed and went anyway. On the way to school she saw someone helping a little crippled kitty across the street to get to his school.
