The wind blew on the far off mountain. The gem was in danger. "Get to the CROSS!" Howled the alpha of the ghost tear pack, as the gem sunk deeper into the snow. The rest of the wolves stood on guard. Though the snow pelted down, it was searing hot. The land of the kalei was a very bizarre place. BAM! The enemy pounced on Lea, knocking her to the ground. "Help!" She wailed. Her brother swooped to her rescue. "Stay awa... Owwwww!" He howled in pain, as the older wolf slashed at his cheek, and when he was dazed, sunk his teeth into his side. "You are credited for his death!" Yelled young Lea, shaking at her brothers corpse.

The alpha battled hard. "Stand aside!" Ordered Goth, the ruler of the under world. "We require that gem, to reach the heavens, and bring down the holy lord. Now, if you wont give it to us, we will take it. BY FORCE!!!" He angrily leaped at his tail, biting it and the alpha lost balance.

"You will have to scrape every skin and bone off my body to get it!" He wailed in pain, but determination. "You are an irritant pest!" He growled, as he tried to deliver a finishing blow, only to be knocked over by Lea. "Leave my father alone!" "Oh. Daddy's little girl, huh? Looks like we have a hostage!" He grabbed her by the scruff and ran off, his pack following closely.

"They will be back. But for now, lets go get our pup from those agrarian cultural humans!" They raced off, laughing, as they loved pestering those humans.

Days later, the wolves were still living in peace, and Lea was soon to be alpha. But she had changed. After seeing her brothers death, she could never go back to that mountain, or the flash back would haunt her. Teeth, blood snow, heat. All of that would never leave that forsaken place. But she would soon have to leave her village to the mountain. Every alpha will go to the mountain, and the gem would grant them with a power worth every wolves life. The power, to control time. But little did they know, that the night Lea saw her brother die, was the night the gem chose her, and gifted her with that power.

She trenched up to the top of the mountain. Even though she was a fearless leader, this place made her nervous. The four wolves in front of her dug out the gem, but it was grey! "Its died!" Screamed one of them. Lea scooped it up, and hung it around her neck. For a second, nothing. Then, it started to glow purple. Lea fell to the floor. "Lea!" Screamed a voice inside her head. "Jace, brother!?" She cried. "Where am I?!" She asked looking around. "You are in the gem of souls. The alpha of the Haven of wolves told me a story. You were so responsible, and kind, and strong that you were gifted with the power, when I passed." I hope you can restore my life. I have an unfinished task." "I will try.. Wait!" She said, but she woke up covered in snow.

That night, Lea set out to find Litch, the elder wolf, the only wolf to come back to life, after seeing the haven. The mountains were tall, and the rivers were wide and deep. SPLASH! She jumped into a deep river and started to swim across. She spotted out of the corner of her eye, a scaly tail, sliding swiftly over the water, right towards her. The river was to wide to out swim this creature, so she tried to avoid it. No luck. It snapped at her, and she dodged it just in time, as its jaws slammed shut on the thin water. The waters current got stronger, and she was tossed in the water. The creature swam away from the current. Up ahead, a huge water fall spewed down the cliff. "Please brother! Help me!" She screamed.
