This book is dedicated to my arctic wolf stuffed animal that I love because I love all animals, SnowStar.

Once there was a snow den with a little family of wolves. It was a morning like none other, and it was negative three degrees, but it wasn't different because of the weather. It was different because the girl wolf had a cub. The cub was a girl, had dark blue eyes, and loved to snuggle. She had taken her first few steps and went outside of the den, but the mother pulled her back inside to keep her warm.
Her name was SnowStar.

SnowStar's mother's name was ShimmerSnow, and SnowStar's father's name was FiercePaw. A few weeks later SnowStar was able to go outside of the den. The next day SnowStar and her mother went over to a big waterfall to learn how to catch fish. SnowStar put her paw in the water. It felt as cold as ice! "You'll get used to it," said her mother. SnowStar looked up at her mother and tilted her head. She didn't understand words very well. SnowStar's mother laughed, and then she taught her little cub how to catch a fish.

One day SnowStar accidentally wandered off trying to look for the waterfall to look for some fish. ShimmerSnow (SnowStar's mother) was very sad that she could not find SnowStar. A few days later ShimmerSnow and FiercePaw (SnowStar's father) went to the pack and asked everyone if they saw her, but everyone said no. Every night Fiercepaw would howl as loud as he could on his and his wife's special mountain hoping SnowStar would come back.

SnowStar was very lost. It was now negative 11 degrees. For days and days she would cry and say, "Mamma, mamma! Help me! Where are you!? Where am I!?"As she grew older, all she could eat was bark and bugs (which she disliked very much.) She was walking carefully on the ice when she looked down and saw ice that she knew was water where fish came from. Then that reminded her of her tasty meals with her family. She smiled but became sad again and continued to walk on the bitter cold ice.

SnowStar walked and walked, but she could not find shelter. She was walking and not paying attention to what she was doing when she suddenly bumped into a furry figure. She looked up and saw another wolf. The first thing she did that her father had taught her was growl, but the other wolf just stared at her and asked, "Are you lost?" SnowStar stopped growling and said, "Yes." "I'll take you to my pack," said the other wolf, and then he led her to his pack. "Oh, and by the way, my name is SilverWings," said the wolf.

SilverWings led SnowStar to a big den. Inside of the den was a picture of a wolf. SnowStar blinked a few times to make sure she was seeing it correctly. "Who is that?" she asked. "That is our hero. He used to be part of our pack. He left to live with his wife. There was another pack who was fighting us and hurting us, but the one you see on the picture is fierce and scared them off. His name was FiercePaw." said SilverWings. SnowStar gasped.

"Every night for years he has been sending us howls about his missing daughter, SnowStar," said SilverWings. "I'm SnowStar!" exclaimed SnowStar. SilverWings almost lost his balance when he heard what she said. "What???" said SilverWings. "I'm sorry, but I can't take you back to your pack," said SilverWings feeling sorry for her. "But since you are his daughter, our master has told us that if we ever saw you we would have to honor you as our queen," said SilverWings putting a crown on her.

SilverWings led her into another beautiful den and also moved the picture of FiercePaw into the den. SilverWings put other pictures of her parents and her in the den. SnowStar was very happy when she looked at the pictures. "Thank you. You are very kind," said SnowStar as Silverwings carried her onto a throne. SilverWings went pink with embarassment and walked out of the den. SilverWings came back to organize the den. "Can you please stay?" asked SnowStar. "I'm next door," said SilverWings.

One day SnowStar went far into her snowy garden and found the prettiest part. "Wow! This is so beautiful! Who could have done this?" said SnowStar to herself. "We did!" said a sweet voice. "Who said that?" said SnowStar. "I did!" said a fairy coming out of nowhere while many other fairies came too. Some of them where riding unicorns, birds, horses, and horses with wings. After SnowStar got used to the fairies, she started to play and talk with them.
"Do you know anyone who could take care of me for a few weeks?" asked SnowStar. "Yes, but it is a human," said a fairy. "Can you take me to her tomorrow?" asked SnowStar. "Yes," said a fairy. The next day the fairies lifted her in front of an ancient house. She saw a pretty lady putting some flowers in vases.

The lady saw her and smiled. "Hello. I'm Lily," she said. Then she picked SnowStar up softly and brought her inside the beautiful house. She put her in a room with pet beds and pretty decorations. "I hope you feel at home," Lily said leaving the room. SnowStar loved the room and was very cozy, but she did not feel at home without her family. A few minutes later she went to sleep holding a cute, little teddy bear.
