The crayons in Quinn's backpack were
excited. They hurried around in their box as
they whispered eagerly about Theseus'
royal wedding. He was getting married to
Hippolyta, a yellow crayon, and queen of
the pencil bag. In their crayon holder,
Hermia, a green crayon, and her father
Egeus, an orange crayon, were arguing.
Hermia wanted to marry Lysander, a red
crayon, but Egeus didn't approve of him.
He wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius,

a blue crayon. Hermia couldn't stand
Demetrius. He always had crayon shavings on
his wrapper and part of his flat side had been
used. Gross. To figure out their dilemma,
Hermia and Egeus decided to go talk to
Theseus. He would know what to do. They told
him of their problem. He gave Hermia three
choices: marry Demetrius, go to live in the
school box, or get sharpened. Being a smart
crayon, Hermia decided to discuss things with
Lysander. He suggested that they run away to
the bottom of the backpack where his aunt

had a really nice plastic baggie where they
could happily live. They agreed to run away
together the next school day. However,
Helena, a brown crayon, had been hiding
nearby. She had heard everything. Helena was
in love with Demetrius. She hated Hermia for
having Demetrius, even though Hermia didn't
like him. Helena decided to try and get Hermia
in as much trouble as possible. So, she went
and told Demetrius of Lysander and Hermia's
plan. Demetrius decided to go after them.
Helena, not wanting to miss the opportunity to
spend

time with Demetrius, went along too. Hermia
and Lysander quietly left the crayon box so as
to not arouse suspicion. The two crayon lovers
rolled silently down folders and slid noiselessly
through spiral notebook bindings. They finally
reached the dark, dirty bottom of the
backpack. From behind a glue bottle, a small
blue colored pencil, Puck, servant of Titania,
queen of the colored pencils, watched, hidden
in the dark. Meanwhile Demetrius was
following far behind, because of Helena, who
wouldn't leave him alone. Oberon, king of the

fairies, watched the strange pair, Demetrius
and Helena. Helena would tell Demetrius how
much she loved him. Demetrius would tell her
to go get drawn with. This happened over and
over again. Oberon was confused as to how
Demetrius didn't see that he was lucky to have
someone who loved him so much. He decided
to do something about it. But first he needed
to do something about his own problem. He
wanted Puck, Titania's little servant. He
needed to have him. An idea popped into his
mind. He thought of the half full juice box in
the

far corner of the backpack. A drop from that
delicious juice could make any school supply
fall in love with the first thing it sees. It was
perfect. Oberon called upon Puck, told him of
his plan, and sent him off to get some of the
juice. Meanwhile, Lysander and Hermia were
wandering around, hopelessly lost. They
decided to get some sleep. Puck, back from his
mission, found the sleeping Lysander and
Hermia, mistaking them for Demetrius and
Helena. He gave Lysander a drop of juice and
ran back to Oberon to continue the plan.

Finally Demetrius is able to get a way from
Helena. Helena is now lost and confused and
sees Hermia and Lysander asleep. Helena
rushes over and wakes up Lysander. Since
Puck put the juice on Lysander when he wakes
up he is in love with Helena. Helena, surprised,
thinks that Lysander is just making fun of her.
Not knowing that Lysander is under a spell,
Helena runs away and Lysander follows her.

When Hermia wakes up Demetrius is there but
Lysander is gone. Hermia is angry with
Demetrius because she thinks that Demetrius
killed Lysander!! Demetrius is very confused
and doesn't know what to do. Hermia runs off
to go and find Lysander and Demetrius follows
her.
