Μια φορά κι έναν καιρό ήταν ένας χιονάνθρωπος πάνω στο βουνό. Ο χιονάνθρωπος είχε δύο κουκουνάρια για μάτια και μια μύτη και μια φούντα για στόμα.

Once upon a time he was a snowman on the mountain. The snowman had two pine-nuts for his eyes and a nose and a tassel for his mouth.

Ήταν χειμώνας και ήρθε το κουνέλι και του είπε ότι σε λίγες μέρες θα έρθει η Άνοιξη και θα λιώσουν τα χιόνια. Ο χιονάνθρωπος ρώτησε τον αετό:

-Πού να πάω για να μην λιώσω;

Ο αετός είπε να πάει στο Βόρειο Πόλο.

It was winter and the rabbit came and told him that in a few days Spring will come and melt the snow.

The snowman asked the eagle:

"Where do I go to avoid melting΅?".

The Eagle said to go the North Pole.

Ο χιονάνθρωπος πήγε στην πλατεία βρήκε παιδιά και του έβαλαν ένα καπάκι από κόκα κόλα για στόμα. Μετά όταν ήρθε η νύχτα η πλατεία άδειασε και βρήκε ένα λεωφορείο

και ρώτησε: -Πώς πάνε στα Βόρεια;

The snowman went to the square to find children and put a lid of coca cola for his mouth.

Then, when the night came, the square empty and found a bus and asked:

"How do you go to the North?"

To λεωφορείο του είπε να πάει στη θάλασσα, στο λιμάνι και να ρωτήσει τα καράβια. Και είπαν δεν μπορούν να τον πάνε γιατί έχει φουρτούνα. Ο χιονάνθρωπος έκανε μια γκριμάτσα και ξεκόλλησε το καπάκι γιατί έκλαιγε.

The bus told him to go to the sea, to the port ask the ships. And they said they can not go because he has a storm.The snowman made a grimace and unbuttoned the lid because he was crying.

Μετά ήρθε μια βάρκα που τη λέγανε Παναγίτσα.                                                                             

-Έλα εδώ θα σε πάω εγώ, του είπε.

Then came a boat called Panagitsa.

-Come here I'll go you there, it told him.

Είχε πολλά κύματα και η βάρκα έκανε ένα...κρότο και μετά βούλιαξε ο χιονάνθρωπος μέσα στο βυθό.

It had a lot of waves and the boat

made a...sound and then the snowman sank into the bottom.

Και μετά ένας καρχαρίας έφαγε ένα κομμάτι από την κοιλιά του χιονάνθρωπου. Κι αυτή η δαγκωνιά ήταν παγωμένη και ο καρχαρίας το έβαλε στα πόδια.

And then a shark ate a piece of the snowman's belly.And this bite was frozen and the shark put it on its feet.

Και μετά έλιωσε ο χιον΄αθρωπος και έγινε νερό. Πέρασαν μέρες και κύλησε σε μια λακούβα, βρέθηκε σε μία παραλία και μετά βγήκε ο ήλιος τον ζέστανε και έγινε σύννεφο.

And then the snowman melted and became water. Days went by and he rolled in a hole, found on a beach, and then the sun went out to heat him and became a cloud.

Μετά άρχισε να φυσάει και κολλήσανε όλα μαζί τα σύννεφα και άρχισε να χιονίζει.

Then it started to blow and the clouds was all together and started to snow.

Μετά ήρθαν κάτι παιδιά και έφτιαξαν ένα χιονάνθρωπο. Και ο χιονάνθρωπος ήταν τόσο χαρούμενος που έμεινε στη θέση του.

Then came some guys and made a snowman. And the snowman was so happy which stayed in his place.
