Dedicated to all my teammates!

Surrounded by the rainforest, big trees, small trees, bushes, flowers, and walking on muddy ground is how our day began. Cloudy skies drizzling and some fog along the mountains gave us an idea that we might get some rain on our zip lining adventure.
This wasn't going to be just a normal zip lining adventure, my whole volleyball team from UMC was going to be there. It was their first time in Costa Rica and they were all so excited!
When we arrived to the zip-lining place, everyone had to sign a waiver and write down what we wanted for our lunch since that same place would provide it for us. Once everyone was done with this, we were ready to go to a small cabin to get our gear on.
The zip-lining guides gave us helmets and all the harness equipment we needed to get on the cable. We also got 2 gloves, one would be used to stop and the other one to hold on to the harness equipment.
After everyone had their gear on, the guides showed us a video on how to "break" when we were getting to the end of the cable and the hand signals that our guides would give us to know when to "break". When they were done, we got directed to an open bus that was connected to a tractor. This would take us to our first cable.
The bus was completely open with no windows and no doors and it had small railing that wold keep us in. The ride was pretty bumpy because we were going into the rainforest and the path was filled with rocks, dips, big puddles, and some hills.
When we got to the first zipline, we all got off the bus and walked up to a tall flight of stairs. It was 8 flights of stairs curling up all the way to the top. At this point I started to get very anxious because I'm afraid of heights. My hands started to sweat and my heart was beating very fast.
Once we got to the top, the view was incredible and made me forget about my fear of heights. The whole rainforest was surrounding us and to our left we could see a small waterfall in the distance which was so beautiful.
I was at the top with 6 other teammates and other people who were also on the zip-lining tour. One by one people were going on the cable and heading on to the next cable. The guide called me over and hooked me onto the cable, he told me to sit and lean back, to tilt my head to the side so it wouldn't hit the cable, and to place my right hand with the glove onto the cable for when I have to break.
Once all that was said, it was my moment to go! It was simply amazing and beautiful to go through the rainforest in this fun and adrenaline-filled way. I could see all green around me, huge trees, small trees, every single type of tree, waterfalls, and more.
