"A Kid on a Farm"

This book shows the importance of being responsible, kind, and mature. It helps kids understand that they should not compare their lives to others, and become lazy because someone else gets an easier way of living. The boy in this book is very lazy and disrespectful to his parents and notices that kids at his school don't have to do farm chores like him. He decides that he doesn't need to do them either, if others don't. He learns a valuable lesson; he needs to grow up and not complain about everything. Years later, in college, he earns two very important certificates that truly prove that if he didn't change into someone more mature at that age, he would have never even gotten into college.
