The construction of the school started in 1943 and it was completed in 1945 and started education in a single storey building with 4 classrooms under the name of Karaali Primary School. Then, upon the need, a class was divided into two classes and five classes were made. In 1982, a new school with 8 classrooms was built in the garden of the school as the school could not meet the need. In 1992, the school became Karaali Elementary School and in 1998, it enrolled the first sixth grade. The first graduates of our school in 1999-2000 academic year. Since the school building became unusable due to earthquakes, it moved to the municipal service building in 1998 and continued its activities in this building until 2001-2002 academic year. Since October 2001 it has moved to its current building. Education continues in this building.
