Hello, I'm Sevgi. We are living in Giresun with my twin brother Barış. This year, for the first time, there will be a school holiday in November. We will go to our aunt who lives in Burdur with our family. We can't wait to see our cousins Gülsüm and Mehmet. We prepared our suitcases because one day was left for our trip. I also didn’t forget to take my indispensable books. My brother Barış, as always, was playing with his tablet. So, I decided to do research for our journey. After I did some research, my mother called me for the dinner.
I immediately washed my hands and went to the table. Barış stopped playing the tablet after a few calls and then, he came to the table. We had our dinner together. I continued to research after I went to my room.

According to my research, our journey was going to take 11-12 hours. Burdur was a small city. It was located in the Lakes Region. Burdur Lake was located right next to the city. Also, Salda Lake, Insuyu Cave, Sagalassos and Kibyra were among the important historical, touristic and natural beauties. I got a little tired and decided to sleep. I fell asleep dreaming of our journey and Burdur. We got up early in the morning.
My parents were getting ready for the trip. We had our breakfast together. I told Barış about the research I did in the evening. Like me, he got interested about the places we’re going to visit. My father brought our suitcases to the car. Now we were ready to go. We've all fastened our seat belts. Our journey has begun. During the trip, Barış showed me a picture of the bird named "Dikkuyruk" that only lives in Burdur Lake from the tablet. There was a birdhouse there. We talked we can take a Dikkuyruk photo if we are lucky.
In social media, it was written that Burdur Lake has become very small in recent years and it is in danger of disappearing if it continues to get smaller. This upset us very much.
Even though our journey took a long time, time was flowing like the water because we will see Mehmet and Gülsüm. We watched our surroundings. We read some books and then, we came to Burdur. It was late but we were very happy to see our cousins. We slept after a small chat with them. We got up early the next morning. We couldn't decide where to go first. My aunt said: ‘Let's go to the shore of Burdur Lake. ‘ We set off immediately. We came to the shore of the lake. The lake was smaller than I imagined. It was bigger before as I read.
The lake, whose resources have been decreasing due to the misuse of weather conditions and the effects of global warming, has started to shrink and dry. We walked a bit. We arrived at the birdhouse.
The birdhouse was a tall hut made of wood. From there, they were observing the endangered Dikkuyruk. We tried to see them, but we couldn't. We got a bit upset. Our families said we’ll go to Salda Lake from there.
Lake Salda was a place we have heard a lot of lately. Does it really have white beaches and turquoise waters? It is best to see it. When we came to Salda Lake, a white beach greeted us. It was a beautiful view. Lake Salda is a very deep lake. We put our feet in the water on the edge of the lake, but we did not enter. It was very nice. On the way back, we talked to Gülsüm and Mehmet about what we can do to prevent the lakes from drying out. For this, we thought that the simplest thing we can do is to use our water without wasting it.

We decided to visit Insuyu Cave before returning home. Insuyu Cave was very cold although the weather was hot. There were small ponds inside. There used to be more water in the past, but some are now dried up. When we came to Dilek Lake, we made a wish. Hopefully, our lakes do not dry out. When we returned home, we were very tired. We talked to Gülsüm and Mehmet about what they did in their school in the room. That week, their teacher Mrs. Canan took them on a tour to Burdur Museum. They showed us the photos they took on the trip.
There were many sculptures downstairs. On the upper floor, pottery and ornaments used by people living in the region were exhibited. They learned a lot of information about the history of the region. We had a good sleep that evening. The next day, Mehmet and Gülsüm said ‘Let's go to Sagalassos.’ We decided to go to Sagalassos. We gathered our belongings and got in the car.
After a journey between the greenery, we came to Sagalassos. It was 1700 meters above sea level. It is from the Roman period. It had a very nice view. The Antonins fountain was a beautiful place with its ancient theater and library with a capacity of nine thousand people. Gülsüm said there are other historical places in the region.
They did a project in the classroom and researched historical places. Kibyra was one of them, and it was the grand arena that caught her attention.
There was also the Medusa Mosaic, which is found nowhere else in the world but here. Some of the artifacts brought from here were exhibited in the Burdur Museum, where Gülsüm and Mehmet visited with the class. We had a very good tour today. When we returned home, Gülsüm and Mehmet's bird, Çiko, greeted us by tweeting. Mehmet loves his bird Çiko very much. He takes care of all of the bird’s responsibilities. Nutrition, care. We liked the bird very much either.
It is very important to feed an animal and take responsibility. Mehmet and Gülsüm are doing this very well. We went to many more places during the week. We ate Burdur Şiş. When we returned home, we bought the famous Ceviz Ezmesi to serve our neighbors. We have learned a lot of information that we can tell our friends. We took photos. Barış no longer uses his tablet only for gaming.
Thanks to this trip and the photos he took, he started to use it for information. Most importantly, we learned that we should not waste the water we use. Now the day has come. It will be very difficult to leave Gülsüm and Mehmet. We will miss them very much. After this trip, we decided to meet more often. After completing our preparations, we said goodbye and set off towards Giresun. Our trip was tiring but very nice. We visited and learned about Burdur.
Our kinship relations were strengthened thanks to this trip. We thanked my parents for taking us on this trip. After that, they promised us to visit our relatives who lived in other cities during each holiday and then, we returned to our house in joy.
THE END OF THE FIRST CHAPTER

Mehmet was living in Giresun with his wife Yasemin with their children Sevgi and Barış.
It was only 3 months since he came to Giresun. However, they got the news that Zeynep, their beloved family friends, was coming to Giresun from Tunceli next day. Sevgi was looking forward to the next day. She kept saying “ I will walk her Giresun when she comes” to her mother.
Zeynep was a curious girl and was very curious about Giresun. As soon as she came, she started to ask questions about Giresun to Sevgi.
Barış had an idea and said it to his mother:
- Mum, Zeynep, is very curious about Giresun. Can you make a breakfast speacial to Giresun? You can cook kuymak, dible and kiraz kavurması for the breakfast,. So, she can start to know about Giresun from the cuisine.
Mum:
-This is a very good idea, I will do whatever you want tomorrow.
When they got up in the morning, all the things on the list came to Zeynep.
Zeynep turned to Sevgi:
- What are the ingredients of kuymak? It is very delicious.
Sevgi:
-My sweety, kuymak is cooked with corn flour, butter and a kind of cheese native of Giresun. Giresun folk love to eat kuymak at the breakfast.
After breakfast, Zeynep searched Giresun's touristic attractions with her tablet. She was most interested in Giresun Island.
She asked to Barış:
-How can we go to Giresun Island?
Barış was smiling:
- Zeynep, boats are used to go to Giresun Island, if you want to go, let's ask our parents and get permission.
Barış, Sevgi and Zeynep first asked their parents if they could visit the island, and then got on the boat waiting for them in the harbor.
They went upstairs and watched the Black Sea, then Zeynep was a bit hungry. "Sevgi, is there anything to eat here?" asked.Sevgi, said vaious fishes were sold at the boat, they went down, asked the cooker what they could eat, the cooker said they could eat various fishes like anchovy, haddock, saurel fish and red mullet. Zeynep wanted to eat anchovy because she loved anchovy. Sevgi preferred to eat haddock. They ate freshly caught fish from the Black Sea.
At that time, the boat approached the island, when they came to the island, they encountered various plants, laurel trees, flowers and abundant greenery. When they move forward a bit on the island, they saw ancient ruins, an ancient fortress and an excavation site.
Sevgi:
-Various nations have lived on this island, but what is remarkable is that the Amazons lived here.
Zeynep:
-Amazons? What does that mean?
Sevgi:
- Amazons are warrior women. According to a legend, Hercules, who participated in the Argonauts' Golden Post journey, also visited Giresun Island and fought with human eating birds here. Also known as female warriors, Amazons used Giresun Island as a headquarter. The island, which is considered as sacred by the city and the local people, is surrounded by walls and there are ruins of the palace and monasteries on the island.

During the trip, Zeynep noticed a huge stone and directed her camera to the rock to took a picture.
Barış walked towards Zeynep:
- Its name is Hamza Stone. It is a stone representing the mother goddess Kybele, sitting on three legs like a trivet. He also stated that this holy stone, with its millennial history and religious beliefs, is a wish stone that gives hope to the elderly and is a mystical source of power.
Zeynep could not hide her astonishment with what she learned and constantly asked questions to Sevgi and Barış. Sevgi also said that Zeynep was very lucky because people are not always allowed to get into the island because the island was a nest for many bird species, including endangered birds.
They took nice photos with the natural beauty and the historical ruins of the island.

When Zeynep saw plenty trees, source of oxigen, on the island:
-How beautiful! Global warming hasn’t visited here, she joked and they laughed together. They finished the island tour and returned to their boat, and it took them back to the harbor.
Sevgi turned to Zeynep:
- "Shall we go to Giresun Museum."
Zeynep:
- Sounds great! Let’s go to Giresun Museum!
As they arrived to the museum, the historical structure of the building attracted Zeynep's attention.
Zeynep:
-- There is a cross on this building, is it a church?
Barış:
--Yes, this was a church. At Pontus Greek State time, this building was a church.

After Fatih Sultan Mehmet conquered the city, he let the people living here believe in whatever they want and today it hosts Giresun and the historical places around it.
Together they got into the museum, inside the museum, there were old coins, clothes, some firearms and jewellery used in ancient times as well as pictures drawn on the walls. The church bell was used when the building served as a church. All of them were remarkable historical artifacts.
They took lots of brochures about the museum and the historical sites of Giresun from the information desk at the museum. Zeynep immediately started to examine the leaflets and Giresun Castle was the first place that attracted her attention.
Zeynep:
-Barış, now I know where to go next.
Barış:
-Where is it, Zeynep, our new route? he smiled.
Zeynep said:
- Now we should go to the castle, one of Giresun's most important historical monuments.
Sevgi:
- That is a great idea Zeynep, however, the castle is on a steep hill and you will get a little tired when you get there.
Zeynep was ready.
They started to climb the slope of Giresun bazaar. They crossed the cobblestone streets and arrived the Millet Bahçesi. They sat at a table overlooking the sea, sipped their tea and watched the ships approaching the harbor. A little rest was good for all. They arrived the castle by passing the historical rectorate building.

The castle was on a hill viewing the whole city. According to the information sign on the castle, it was used by the Pontus Greek State, the Ottoman State and some other societies, which dominated this region to observe and secure the city. Some walls of the castle were still standing. Huge plane trees, the children's playground, tea garden, picnic areas immediately attracted attention. Zeynep saw a bench among trees and greenery on a small hill.
Zeynep:
-- Wow! I can read for hours here!
Sevgi suddenly laughed and said:

- Did you hear what Zeynep said, Barış?
Barış with a smile;
--Honey, what Sevgi and I like to do in Giresun is to sit on that bench and read a book.
Mehmet, the father of Sevgi and Barış, called out:
--Children aren't you tired yet?
Everyone was very tired and they decided to go home together.
Ms. Yasemin immediately set the table as soon as they get home. Giresun’s delicious flavors were on the table. Mısır ekmeği, pancar çorbası,dible, turşu kavurması, ısırgan, kiraz tuzlusu and so on Mr Tolga crumled some corn bread into the black cabbage soup and asked some more. Zeynep was very surprised at her father, because she had never seen him eating so heartily.
During the meal, Zeynep:
-“Where are we going tomorrow?”
Mr Mehmet:
-- I'll take you to a paradise you've never seen before.
Zeynep was surprised.
Barış, who realized Zeynep’s astnonishment, immediately chimed the word.
-- My father talks about our plateaus, Zeynep.Giresun plateaus are untouched, and are a natural habitat for wild animals with their clean air as well as plant variety. We can eat very fresh lamb meat in the plateaus, we can also buy fresh local products. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun tomorrow.
Really the next day, they visited the plateaus of Kulakkaya, Bektaş and Kümbet, walked into the forest and rolled on the grass.

Zeynep was watching carefully. On the one hand, there were barbecues, on the other hand, people were dancing horon, a kind of folk dance. The kemencha sound was all around. Everyone was like an anchovy in the pan. Barış, Sevgi and Zeynep joined the horon with their families. The two families had a great day. When they came home, everyone went to their rooms. Sevgi, Barış and Zeynep had already fallen asleep in the car.
In the morning, when Sevgi got up, she saw Zeynep was looking out of the window carefully:
--What is up, Zeynep? Where are you looking so carefully?
Zeynep, showing Gedikkaya:
-What an interesting rock!
Sevgi:
- Its name is Gedikkaya. According to a rumor, it gapes with astonishment because of Giresun’s beauty.

Zeynep was always surprised at as she learned. Sevgi laughed at Zeynep, then she also started laughing.
Barış came excitedly and told Zeynep that they would take him to a very nice place after breakfast. Zeynep was very curious. She wondered what else had left to see.
After breakfast, Sevgi, Barış and Zeynep went out with their families.
Mrs. Ayşe:
-How interesting are these narrow streets and paving stones!
Mr Mehmet:
--The houses here are historical houses. It was called as Gogoro Mahallesi.
It was built with materials imported from Europe about two centuries ago. Greeks and Turks lived here for years. This neighborhood even became a subject of folk songs. They are famous for their architectural features such as their unique gardens, doors, windows and interior design. According to the information boards, the oldest house was built in the 1840s.
They took lots of photos in Zeytinlik District.
Mehmet and Yasemin were going back to their hometown Tunceli in the evening. Zeynep got used to Sevgi and Barış and did not want to leave them. Three of them promised to meet in summer again.
Zeynep said farewell to Barış and Sevgi with many photos and memories. She thanked his mother and father for giving her and opportunity to know such a nice city of Turkey.
Sevgi and Barış had already started to plan when they would go to Tunceli.
THE END OF THE SECOND CHAPTER

It was quite a while from Zeynep Giresun.
He remembered the good times he had with Sevgi and Barıs, while also looking forward to reuniting with them.
It was a week before the schools closed. As a result, their families had promised to meet again during the summer break, and that was the summer break.
Zeynep was talking to Sevgi and Barış on the internet on the weekends. In one of these interviews, he told Zeynep that they would come to Tunceli the day after the day the schools went on vacation.
This meant that it was only a week before they came together.
At breakfast, Zeynep asked her parents that there was little time for her friends to come and what they could do.But she was so excited that her questions did not even come back, and almost did not breathe while asking. So his mother said:
-Do not panic, if you want, Zeynep.!
We are as happy as you are from our friends' visit. But don't worry, if you want. It's only a week before they arrive, and we're sure we will welcome them very well. We sit together and review what we can do. You can be sure that we will have a great time with a good planning.
Time passed much faster than Zeynep expected. Zeynep received her school school report with happiness and pride. She ran home and showed her mother and father her school report . They congratulated her , and started preparing for the next day.
When Zeynep went to her bed with a sweet fatigue at the end of the day, she fell asleep without having a chance to dream.
Zeynep lived in Pertek, the charming district of Tunceli, with her mother, Sirin, and her father, Hıdır Bey.
Pertek is a lush and peaceful lush town about forty minutes away from Tunceli on the banks of the Keban dam. The district, which was connected to Tunceli when the dam intervened when it was connected to Elazig, was about thirty kilometers away from Elazig.
Transportation to Elazig is provided by ferry over the dam.
Zeynep woke up early in the morning. He was in a sweet excitement. She couldn't wait to introduce her friends to where she lived. They prepared the family and left the house. They were supposed to be in Elazig around 10:00. After such a long wait for Zeynep, her friends came and got off their vehicles.
When Zeynep saw Sevgi and Barış , they hugged her friends. They left Elazig by car of Sevgi and Barış with Zeynep.
There was a lot of wondering about Sevgi and Barış. She did a lot of research before Barış came. Zeynep:
- You know, Zeynep was actually going to come by road, but my father said that it would be more comfortable for us to come by plane in order not to waste time. Tell me now, how do we get from where you live? ”
She knew how curious Zeynep . But laughing:
- Ahhh Barış, I'm sorry I will leave this problem unanswered. But be sure you will use the tools that you have not used before and maybe you will see the things you have not seen. Sevgi is on these words to her brother Barış:
-Yes, Barış, I think it will be more fun to see everything by living. Let's enjoy the journey now.
They came to the ferry port by chatting and telling each other what they were doing during the year. When Hıdır Bey parked the car on the pier, the ferry had just departed from the opposite shore.
This gave them time to explore. Barış and Zeynep did not know what to say from surprise and happiness. They could not even imagine that such a thing could happen in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Sevgi:
- The ferry? Are we going to take the ferry now, Zeynep?
Zeynep :
- Yes, Sevgi. We will take a ferry ride of about ten minutes. Do you see the opposite shore? Here is our home. But there is a lot more to be surprised.
Barış was very confused and very happy. It had never been on a ferry before. He had not seen a dam lake and a castle in the middle of the lake.
There were so many questions that he couldn't wait to ask and get an answer. The ferry docked to the shore. Waiting vehicles boarded the ferry in turn and the transition to the opposite shore started to Pertek.
Together they went upstairs to the ferry. From here they threw bagels on the seagulls. Seagulls were getting so close that for a while he grabbed the piece of bagel that Barış had extended. The children were both surprised and excited about their experiences. Now they had the opportunity to see the Pertek Castle, which they saw from a distance, a little closer. Seeing that Sevgi took pictures of the castle, Zeynep said that they would go to visit the castle and then they could capture more beautiful frames.
After a ten-minute journey, when he got off the ferry on the Pertek coast, Hıdır said that they were hungry and would take them to the garden of the thermal hotel in an open area near the water for breakfast. Zeynep told her friends that there are natural thermal water sources in Pertek and these waters are good for many ailments.
She even said that the thermal facilities were established in the district so that these resources could be better utilized, after breakfast, they could enter the thermal waters and relax. Barış was surprised to see the breakfast table. Roasting, cheese, patila and breakfast dishes that he did not know his name drew the most attention. As he tasted food, he asked Zeynep questions, and his father responded to things Zeynep did not know. She said that small cattle breeding is common in the region of Zeynep Tunceli, and that it is possible to go up to the highlands in the spring, so the cheese they eat is very delicious.
He explained that beekeeping was done in the region and that completely natural honey was produced. Sevgi liked the crash most.
He also ate patila, which was cooked on the plate and served warmly. After the meal, they first visited the thermal facilities, then went into the hot and cold water pools and swam. They got information from the employees about the water features here.
After breakfast, they set off towards Zeynep's house. While passing by her school, Zeynep showed her friends her school with great joy.
- “See Sevgi and Barış, this is Cumhuriyet Secondary School. I study here and I love my school. "said.
By the time they got home, the time had found the afternoon.
Hot water made them tired and hungry. Sirin lady prepared the table after showing the rooms to stay and helping them settle down.
There was elegance peculiar to Tunceli on the table.
Zeynep told her friends that elegance is one of the most popular dishes in the region. She explained that the dough kneaded with flour, salt, milk and butter was baked on the tray and then the hard crust was taken and the dough left inside was cut into small pieces, and it was made by pouring buttermilk butter and butter on it.
In the evening, Zeynep showed Pertek to her friends. Since her friends could not stay much and there were many places to go, Zeynep wanted to show the nearby historical monuments immediately. They visited Sungur Bey Mosque, Çelebi Ağa Mosque and Cem House, located in the district center of Pertek.
In the evening, Zeynep's cousin had a wedding and they all attended the wedding. They play halays accompanied by drums and flutes. Barış and Sevgi quickly learned the tripod game and adapted to the crowd.
They had a lot of fun watching Karaçor game. They drank from the snoring distributed at the weddings in the region. When the wedding ended and they came home, they had accumulated very good memories. They quickly went to bed and slept.
After getting up early and having breakfast, they first went to Pertek Castle by sightseeing ferry.
The castle, which dates back to the tenth century and is used by many civilizations in the deep blue waters, was enchanted by the beauties of the castle with its red hard bricks, scattered blue tiles and scenery. he was. Turning Barış to Zeynep:
- “I did a lot of research about here before I came, but actually I wasn't expecting this much.” said.
Zeynep to Barış:
- The main beauties are hidden in those who cannot be imagined. My dad always says so.
They left the castle and passed to Sultan Hıdır Mausoleum in Dorutay village. She told the story of Sultan Hıdır and that her prayers among the people were believed to be accepted. With their friends, they prayed that friendships lasted long, and disasters came to an end all over the world.
Wishing the prayers to be accepted, they distributed bites (candles) and lit candles.
They attached stones to the wish stone and tied a cloth to the wish tree. It was noon all was very hungry.
In Dorutay village, Zeynep had relatives and they were guests for lunch. Here, you had Sırın, a meal unique to Tunceli.
They enjoyed their meals and left. The direction was the village of Sağman.
On their way to Sağman village, they passed through the Singeç Bridge, which Atatürk opened on 17 November 1937. It was not known to Zeynep friends that the establishment date of Sağman village was unknown, but the castle on the rocky hill in the south east of the village was built during the Artukids period; He explained that the region was under Ottoman rule in 1515 and that after that date mosques, complexes and fountains were built in the south east of the village, and that they still stopped.
Together, they were very emotional while visiting these historical places.
The weather was about to get dark when they left Sağman. Watching the sunset light games over the dam from the hills was a visual feast for all.
They spent the evening chatting in the garden of the Zeynep's house. Mr. Hıdır told the children that they attended the festivals organized in the center of Tunceli during their youth, where they set up a tent and camped on the banks of the Munzur River, how to spend a good time fishing with their friends.
When Barış heard the word of the camp:
- "I wish we could camp too," he said.
Zeynep and Sevgi also agreed with Barış. Hıdır Bey, who does not want to break this enthusiasm of children:
- You know, children, there are water sports shows in Tunceli center tomorrow.
Barış couldn't believe he felt.
- How is Uncle Hıdır? Are there water sports in Tunceli? I did not know that .
Hıdır said that the World Rafting Championship was held in Tunceli in 2019, that the Munzur River was considered one of the world's leading trails, and paragliding, water sports, boat tours and many other activities were organized.
Then he promised to take the children to Tunceli the next morning, saying that he should not remain with such narration.
Barış and Sevgi were in the morning in the morning after what Hıdır uncles told about. They wanted to see what was told as soon as possible.
They set off early. After a journey of about forty minutes, they arrived at Tunceli.
While coming, they often stopped on the road and photographed the surroundings. They crossed the Munzur river from the suspension bridge in the center and had a nice breakfast by the water. They drank coffee under the blue bridge.
Afterwards, they watched paragliding and water sports shows. After the shows ended, they took a boat ride on the Munzur River. They saw structures flooded.
After the boat trip, they set off towards Ovacık district. They stopped to camp at a roadside before reaching Ovacık. They would spend the night here. They were all very hungry. Hıdır took the fishing rod from his car and fished.
On the one hand, they set up the tents where they would stay and on the other hand they cooked the fish they were holding. They brewed tea on the embers.
At night they listened to the sound of water and watched the full moon in the sky. Sevgi and Barış were the first time to camp and stay in the tent. She was very happy that her friends were so happy.
They fell asleep in a cool and sweet sleep on the sway of the stars and the moon.
They woke up early in the morning and entered the cool waters. After a nice breakfast, they set out towards Ovacık.Ovacık ,Tunceli is a cute town that has introduced itself with its honey and beans and legendary water. They witnessed many beauties along the way. They excitedly watched the mountain goats jumping over the rocks and the bears descending on fishing.
Zeynep told her friends about the Munzur Eyes and legend, which were accepted as sacred and declared as a national park by the local people.
Together they toured the Munzur Eyes. They visited the region where the red-spotted trout, which was taken under protection, lived, and watched these fish.
It was about to be evening. The children also had sadness with a sweet tiredness. Because Mehmet Bey's permission was short-term, he wanted to meet his family in Aydın.
They spent the evening in Zeynep's house in Pertek. They helped to set the table.
After a nice dinner, they promised each other that they would continue their friendship for many years.
Before getting up early the next morning and heading for Elazig, Zeynep and her friends hugged and hugged each other.
Their parents also embraced.
They would meet again as soon as possible.
There was a new excitement in Sevgi and Barış because they were going to Aydın to see her aunt.

It is one of the important settlement centers of the middle coastal region filled with historical and natural beauties of the Aegean Sea. It was established near the Büyük Menderes stream. Soke is one of Turkey's most important cotton producing areas. "
Lessons have passed quickly. We had a lot of fun all day long. Last lesson Sibel Teacher:
-Guys, I have a surprise. You remember that we had planned last year.

I plan to make a trip that will introduce you to the historical and touristic places of Aydın. Many of you do not know the city we live in very well. I hope you will get to know our city better after this trip. Let's plan together where we will go. Where do you think we should go?
Ada:
-My teacher, Aydın Archeology Museum is very beautiful. We can go there.
Ege:
-I went to Doğanbey Village with my family. Liked it very much.
Defne:
-I saw the town of Didim and the Temple of Apollo. It was very nice.
Mustafa:
-Let's go to the Dilek Peninsula National Park and swim, please, teacher."
Sibel Teacher:
-Kids, these are all the places you counted, very beautiful and must-see places.

We live in a very beautiful city of our country and there are many historical sights. Apart from what you say; Aphrodisias Ancient City, Arapapıştı Canyon, Milet Ancient City, Bafa Lake, Kuşadası Pigeon Island, Nysa Ancient City, complexes, castles, churches, promenade areas and parks, beautiful bays are still not to be seen. But I can buy a few of them that are suitable, we cannot visit all of them on the travel list. Ada:
-Can Sevgi and Barış join the trip?
-Of course why not.
As the conversations continued, the bell rang. The children left school, wishing good day.
We went home, running with great excitement. We explained what happened to the household. My mom is very happy on our behalf. Together we went to Aydın Archeology Museum.

We saw interesting historical artifacts in the museum. . On the way back they took us to the Ortaklar to eat cöpsis for dinner, it was really delicious.
The day of the trip had come. We took the bus together. We first went to Doğanbey village. It was a charming village with old stone houses and cobblestone streets in the countryside. From there we went to the Dilek Peninsula National Park. We watched the birds from the bird observatories. The seaside was a great place. The sea of this place was not like the Black Sea, it was very shallow. Efe showed us a flower called bell flower that only grows there. We went somewhere by the sea named Karina. We had lunch at the fish restaurants there. We have collected wonderful sea shells. We saw different sea creatures and birds.
When I went to Priene Ancient City, I liked it very much. Now we can see some of it. As we have seen in all historical areas, this place has been heavily destroyed. I can't understand how people harm historical artifacts. . The city was built on a high hill at the foot of the Samson mountains. The entire Söke plain appeared. Sibel Teacher said that ithas grown here mostly cotton and fig ,olives . Also related to Herodotus Aydın province the place where the most beautiful sky we know on earth and the most beautiful climate; Evliya Çelebi said that the city flows with oil from its mountains and honey from its plains. for our city, ”she said. We spent some time in Güllübahçe promenade area. We visited the handicraft market.

Our last stop was Didim district. It was not possible to admire the high columns in the temple of Apollo. It was a very well preserved ancient city. We visited the famous Altınkum beach and went on the bus for return. Sibel Teacher:
-We visited the famous Altınkum beach and went on the bus for return. We have had a very nice day. You saw many places and got new information. As I said before, there are so many historical and touristic places in our city that we cannot visit in a day. See and see the places we could not visit today with your families. You must protect and protect the beauties of our city and our country.
We were very tired when we returned home. We slept early. My aunt in the morning We were very tired when we returned home. We slept early. My aunt in the morning On the edge of Lake Bafa there were restaurants and pleasure boats. We had our wonderful village breakfast and toured by boat. From there we went to Kuşadası. We visited Güvercinada. It was a historical castle built on the island. The view was awesome.
We sat and drank something. My aunt:
-You should definitely see Öküz Mehmet Pasha Caravanserai. It was also an exciting place.
Then we visited Kuşadası, we bought some gifts and returned home. We would set off the next day.
We got up early in the morning and ate the herb pie and various breakfast dishes made by my aunt.
It was time to go. We said goodbye and hit the road. We were upset that we would leave. but I know that every ending adventure was actually the start of a new adventure. We were already looking forward.

-Dad,what is the zero point of the history?
My dad:
-It means the starting point of the history. It means it is the oldest place of history. It is known as the oldest structure in the world. So unesco announced 2019 year as "Göbeklitepe Year".
When we arrive at the home we feel very tired. My mum:
-After washing your hands and face ,brushing your teeth go to sleep.
I entered the bathroom.Barış is brushing his teeth. But while he is brushing he waste a lot of water.I turn off the tap and warn him.
-You must be aware of the importance of water. If you don't use water you turn off the tap.You shouldn't even waste a drop of water.
-Ok,then my sweat brother. If you see these people that waste water you should warn them.
-Ok.
We go to the our beds happily. Now we are ready for sleeping. We take two books from our bookshelf and read them. After reading them for twenty minutes ,our eyes are nearly closing so we decide to sleep.
When we wake up we see the sunny weather outside. We talk about going out for playing in the park after persuading our parents.
Before we have breakfast my dad's phone rings. My dad says our mum:
-Kadir is calling.
While my father was talking on the phone, my mother filled the tea in glasses. She squeezed orange juice for peace and for me. I also placed the forks and napkins on the table.
I hope no, I hope there is nothing bad.
-No, don't worry. He called to ask for sake. My father was looking at us:
-You remember your uncle, children? They came here two years ago
Barış and me:
- Oh yes, dad, we remember! Aunt Fatma came with İbrahim and Elif. We became friends with Elif and İbrahim. They brought us pistachio from Şanlıurfa.
-Well done guys! You remember it very well. They insist to come to Şanlıurfa every time they call.
My mother also said:
-Fatma asks when you come here whenever he calls me.
My father:
-I hope we will go at a suitable time. I am also very curious there.
Peace in an excited tone:
-Uncle Baba Kadir was your friend from the university, right?
-Yes, my son.We have stayed in the same house for 2 years.
Barış continued his words:
-We also loved them. If we could go to Şanlıurfa, we could see them and Göbeklitepe, which we were very curious about.
I suddenly came up with a very nice idea:
-Dad, if we go on this summer break!
-Do not be, my daughter, the summers are very hot in Şanlıurfa. The temperature can even reach over 40 degrees. Your uncle always says' To come here , choose spring.'
My mother is excited:
-What are we waiting for? Then it's a good time. What do you think?
My father, in a statement confirming my mother's words:
-You are right, we have no other plans this semester break.
Barış and I, holding our hands up, shouting enthusiastically:
-Long live then we go to Urfa!
My father calls Uncle Kadir a few hours later and says that it is a very convenient time for them. They are very happy. They said they were waiting impatiently.
My father said, "We'll hit the road on Monday, then."
Can you imagine Barış? Two days later, we will be able to see where we watched the movie last night. How beautiful is it?
- Yes, brother. I can't believe it, too. It will be a great trip.
As usual, Barış reached out to his bed in his room and took his tablet and started to search Sanlıurfa.
-Look at those places to those dishes! We will see places we have never seen, we will taste the dishes we have never tasted.
-Yes my brother. New places are waiting for us.If your research is over, let us do our EBA homework sent by our teacher from the tablet.
-Ok, brother.
After doing some of our homework, we go to the living room.
They are listening the news. A newscaster was talking about a virus.
- A very serious virus spread from China to other countries. I hope it is not seen in our country.
I ask curiously:
What kind of virus daddy?
A virus called 'coronovirus' that can be transmitted from person to person. ıt causes death in large numbers. I hope it can be destroyed before seen in Turkey .
- I hope ,dad
Sunday pass with the preparations for the trip. We have a bath, we prepare the clothes we will take. We buy gifts for Ibrahim and Elif. We sleep early in the morning because my mother say that we will get up very early in the morning.
Our road is long. My father:
-If we set out at 6 in the morning, we will be there in the afternoon, like 4 in the afternoon. The distance between Giresun Şanlıurfa is 796 kilometers.
We wake up early in the morning. We place our luggage in the trunk of the car. We are able to find their homes easily. All of them stand at their door, waiting for us.
We immediately knew İbrahim and Elif.
We all go in. There are other guests in the hall.
Uncle Kadir and his mother Fatma Aunt's mother, father and brother is also very friendly people. They welcome us very well. They chat.
My mother :
-Do you want to give the gifts you get for İbrahim and Elif?
-Yeah mom, we've forgotten.
We go inside and peacefully opened our suitcases. We take out the gifts and hand them to Ibrahim and Elif. They like it very much. They thank us.
My mother:
-We have chosen your gift with love. I hope you like it.
-Thank you very much, my auntie, I love it. My favorite colors are pink and purple. It is a great bag.
After giving our gifts, we go to the table. How many kinds are there. They look very yummy. Only the lahmacun wis familiar from the meals I see at the table.
- Borani, icli kofte, lebeni, lahmacun, tepsi kebab. All of these are the dishes of this region.
My mother:
-Borani has been so delicious.
-Nohut, lamb meat, chard stalk and bulgur nest are made of it.
I ask curiously:
-How is icli kofte made, Aunt Fatma? I like it the most.
-In icli kofte , thin boiled and pounded wheat, semolina, salt, flour and eggs are kneaded. Roasted minced meat fills onions and spices. Then it is covered and shaped, and then either fried or boiled.
After eating our meals, we chat. our beds are prepared after a little more conversation.
When we wake up the next morning, breakfast is already prepared. We have our breakfast and go out immediately. Because there are many places to visit. Uncle Kadir takes us there first because we always talk about Göbeklitepe. I still can't believe how big stones are. These stones are exactly 12000 years old. It is hard to believe but they are true.
Aunt Fatma says in a calm tone:
-Unesco has taken this place to the world heritage list. These are very well protected.
After touring Göbeklitepe in all its glory and listening to the information told by the guide, we set off again to continue our trip. After Göbeklitepe, we go to Harran. Harran is very close to the border.
- The importance of this is also great children. The first university of the world was built here.
Uncle Kadir nods:
-There are great scholars and scientists here in time.
After a twenty-five-minute journey, we reach Harran. Firstly, houses built adjacent to a funnel attract my attention.
An uncle who lives there says that we can not find these houses elsewhere from here.
Elif and İbrahim come to where we are:
-sevgi and barış! Shall we take pictures in front of these houses?
-Great!
My mother takes photos of us in front of Harran houses, and I take photos of my mother, father, Uncle Kadir and Aunt Fatma. We leave here after visiting the first university ruins, caves and mosques.
Uncle Kadir says, "Guess where we are going now?"
