Collin Holms is a 13 year old boy who attends Wilkinton Secondary School. He takes his education seriously; he studies twice a day (even on a weekend). He is in four after-school clubs and enjoys all subjects. But his commitment hasn't stopped him from getting F's in all of his exams. Science, physical education, maths, English, geography, history, languages; all F's! Collin never gave up though, he kept on practicing. He wouldn't get A's straight away, and he knew that.

He was walking down a path, the sort of path you get in horror movies, when he saw a flock of pigeons. Not the average flock of pigeons though. They were different, from the shape and size, to the noise they made and the colour of their eyes.
Suddenly, the wind picked up, Collin's hair blew, the trees were swaying and the dead leaves took to the sky like a swarm of bees. After the strong winds came to a stop, one final gust of wind rippled across the town like a gentle wave in the sea. This time, the wind only made the hedge rustle - the hedge that the abnormal pigeons were in. The wind startled the pigeons, it scared them. One of them flew to a nearby tree, after that all of them followed. All but one...
