It was Halloween of 2018 when I and my friends decided to go explore the abandoned castle a few miles away from our house. I am 19 years old and I live in the Steedle town neighborhood. 

Now our neighborhood is a bit not safe because recently the house of Mr. Hitler was robbed and just the next day Franklin the farmer went missing. Police investigations have been going on but no trace of evidences. What was spookier was that Mr. Edward said that he had seen a shadow like a weird figure outside Hitler’s house that night.

Everyone believed that it was a ghost, but me and my family kept away from all these fake stories and always make sure that our house and family are protected and also I am not afraid of ghosts because there is no such thing. Anyway on October 31st at 8 pm we started decorating our house with Halloween stuff and I went to the kitchen and told mom I was leaving and my friends will be waiting for me. So I took my bag and went out to start my bike. Michelle, Eden and Cody were already outside. Then we rode off.  

At first it was a smooth ride through the roads, but as we reached close to the forest it was getting foggy and dark. And the dried leaves would make small sounds. Michelle was very scared. But she was a good rider.

It was a bit cold and there was a 

chilly breeze, but I had my 

jacket on.

The forest was a bit creepy. But there were no wild animals except for some hares. We stopped after some time and I took out the sandwich mom had packed and I also bought some soft drinks. The trees were pretty rough and we could see that the path ahead was covered with long thorny grass. We have to ride it the hard way. Now it was only a few minutes to 

the castle and we could see the 

turret of the big, brown castle. 

It was past 9:30 when we reached the castle. We parked our bikes on the fence and went through the gates. There was a sculpture of a giant owl at the entrance, We slowly walked our way. It was getting hard to see anything. Then we reached the doors of the castle. Eden pushed it open and with that sound a huge bulk of bats came flying above. 

And Oh my I almost coughed by the dust. The hall was pretty big and it was dirty and the walls were all brown and covered with cobwebs . I turned on my flash light. There was a lot of space in the hall and there was a stairway at the side. There were some racks at the corner and they had some creepy looking statues, dolls and some ornaments. But everything was super dusty. And also there was was a bookshelf. 

I went over to look at some books but suddenly Michelle shouted and came running. '' I saw a head outside the window, it was covered with something black.'' We four ran outside but could not spot anyone. When we came back we found that our bags were not there on the maroon couch. I confirmed there was someone in the house so I shouted '' Who ever it is, you better show yourself. We are not leaving until we search the castle.'' So we decided to go to each room, to every nook and corner to find our bags. 

The beds were all worn and half curtains were torn. There were six rooms down. We went upstairs and it also had a big hall. But something caught our eye. An old cupboard was racing toward us !!! We all froze for a minute and started moving away but it was coming directly for the stairs. CRASH !!!!!! The cupboard broke into pieces.'' Can someone please explain this.'' Said Cody with a shivering voice.
