There once was a rock, a metamorphic rock that dwelled deep in the interior of the Earth. The rock was formed from extreme heat and pressure that compressed the rock to make it what it was. But this rock was about to go on a journey that would take it across the world, in many different shapes and sizes.
This rock continued to fall subject to extensive heat and pressure from its surroundings, compressing it even more than before, it was a long way to the surface and it seemed impossible to escape the depths of the earth, but soon a new element would change the course of this rocks journey.
Then, something happened, the area became hotter than ever before, so hot that the poor rock began to melt, and so did the other rocks that neighbored. A stream of magma came, and rose through the Earth to the surface of a volcano. Smoke and ash spewed out of the peak while the lava slowly creeped down the volcano, slowly cooling off as it got closer to the bottom. Eventually, the lava drained into the ocean, where the lava turned into an igneous rock, falling to the bottom of the ocean.

Now all that was left of the rock was the remains of molten lava, cooled, dark, and smooth. It laid to rest in the bottom of the ocean, where erosion due to the water slowly changed its shape and color, turning it from an igneous rock to a small, beaten, sediment. nothing compared to what it once was.
The rock dwelled in the ocean for years, until the unexpected occured.
The rock finally settled down in a field, but the rock was only at peace for a short time, as for millions of years, it was buried by new layers of matter. It fell deeper and deeper into the Earth, extreme heat and pressure became prominent for the rock once again. It became squeezed by the heat until things began to move, violently move.
The Earth began to shake and rock began to rise, shortly after, this earthquake ended, and the ground appeared to rise a couple of centimeters. This process continued on for millions of years, and the product of it was the creation of a vast mountain range, the rock was now on the edge of a mountain, seamingly ready to fall off.
The rock was separated from the rest of the mountain, it tumbled down the mountain slope until it hit the ground and broke into many pieces, what remained of the rock was now in a valley, far from where it once was. Over the years, the rock was slowly buried in the ground, were it was broken down into smaller and smaller pieces until they were small pebbles.
