MJ was walking home from school and he 

sees his brother getting ready to play 

basketball at the park with his friends. 

MJ wants to go play with his brother. JJ 

never lets MJ come play with him 

because JJ thinks MJ is not good 

enough to play with him and his friends.

 After JJ leaves MJ decides to walk to the 

park by himself to see if he can get in a game 

with his brother. JJ lets him play in one game. 

MJ is playing defense under the hoop and he 

gets dunked on. MJ runs out of the park crying.

On his way home 

crying he finds 

something 

sticking out the 

a bush, 

something that 

really caught his 

eye...

It was a headband that had his 

initials MJ on it. So he thought 

to himself why not take it and 

put it on. MJ puts on the 

headband and now wants to 

play in it. So MJ goes home to 

play on his hoop and starts to 

notice that he's making every 

shot that he usually doesn't 

make.

He finds this weird so he takes off the 

headband and takes a shot and misses it 

completely. Like it was not even close. 

Then he puts on the headband and makes 

the shot. He realizes this headband has 

some cool powers in it. He runs inside 

really excited and doesn't even stop for 

dinner and goes straight to his room. MJ 

sees on his calendar that basketball 

tryouts for his high school team are 

tomorrow and comes up with an idea with 

the headband.

Next day 

MJ wakes up 

gets ready 

for school 

and is really 

excited for 

whats going 

to happen 

during 

tryouts.

 While in the car with his bro JJ he ask JJ " Hey are 

you ready for tryouts today?" JJ replies "Of course 

and don't tell me your trying out again I don't want 

to see you get hurt by not making the team.." " Don't 

worry all the practice I had made me better and 

prepared." JJ chuckles and continues driving.

MJ gets through another high school day but walks through 

the halls just thinking about the headband and only the 

headband until tryouts start. MJ walks into the gym dress up 

and sees 30 other kids stretching and waiting for coach. The 

coach walks in and says " Lets get started and see who really 

wants to be on the team." JJ and some of his friends make the 

team already before tryouts so they don't have to go. So 

basically there isn't that much spots left so competition is 

rough. MJ notices this and makes sure his headband is on tight 

and the game is on. So after all the conditioning and drills, MJ 

is hot and hasn't miss a shot or messed up yet with the 

headband on. During the fullcourt games towards the end of 

practice MJ is unstoppable and even dunking on people! 

Coach takes him out and tells him " Enough enough your on 

the team kid and your starting. Your making basketball look 

like an easy sport. MJ smiles, thanks him and walks out of the 

gym.

MJ gets home 

and goes 

straight to his 

brother's room 

to tell him the 

good news. When 

MJ tells him he 

made the team 

and is 

starting, JJ 

drops his Xbox 

controller and 

is baffled by 

this and 

doesn't even 

reply. 

MJ is happy that he showed up his 

brother by making the team. So he just 

goes to his room and sleeps with his 

headband tightly in his hand.
