List of cities in Italy

2
What are the most beautiful and popular places in Italy ?
1. Roma
The Colosseum Both for its history as the capital of much of Europe and for its current role, one of the most vibrant cities in Europe, for most tourists traveling to Italy, Rome tops the list of places to visit.

3
The relics of the ancient glories - the Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon, the Appian Way and the Palatine Hill - live with the rich riches of the Vatican as top attractions But among the major attractions such as the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo's Square, make time to enjoy the city itself. Relax in the Borghese Gardens; eat gelato on Spanish steps; explore the narrow streets of Trastevere; window on Via Veneto; and throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain so you can come back again and again. It will take several trips to see everything.
4
2. Florence
The showcase of the Italian Renaissance, Florence can sometimes look like a giant art museum. The Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, is a landmark of world architecture, dominated by the massive dome that defies gravitation. Together with the marble bell tower, Giotto and its octagonal baptistery with its incomparable bronze Ghiberti doors, this is one of the most beautiful ensembles of Renaissance art in the world.

5
Half a dozen art museums are full of paintings and sculptures, while several masterpieces decorate their churches. Before the overdoses of art in the Uffizi Gallery and Pitti Palace, stroll through the Boboli Gardens and explore the artisans' studios and workshops in Oltrarno or the Santa Croce leather shop

3. Venice
Who couldn't help but love a city whose street is made of water, whose buses are boats and where the songs of the gondoliers are in the air? It is a magical city and its major attraction for tourists is the city itself. The city center is Piazza San Marco, Piazza San Marco, surrounded by several top tourist attractions. The Great St. Mark's Basilica is located near the Doge's Palace, and overlooking both is the High Bells.

7
4. Milan Although Milan is a major entry point for tourists because of its airport, it is often overlooked as a destination of its own. It's a shame, because Milan has one of the largest concentrations of artistic and architectural attractions in all of Italy, and for those interested in design and fashion (not to mention shopping), it is a must. Milan has been the workplace and workplace for lighting in all fields: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Verdi, Enrico Caruso, Toscanini and designer Giorgio Armani.

8
5. Pisa and Lucca These two nearby cities are worth a visit while in Tuscany, the former for the exceptional Campo dei Miracoli complex and the latter for its attractive charm. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, actually the bells for the adjacent cathedral, is a well-known Italian icon and forms the center of a UNESCO World Heritage site that also includes the cathedral, the baptistery and Campo Santo.

9
The culmination of the impressive baptistery is the sculpted romantic sculptural pulpit by Nicola Pisano, a masterpiece of Roman sculpture. Nearby, Lucca is one of the most charming cities in Italy to explore and enjoy, surrounded by wide walls, the top of which is a park with trees. Inside are beautiful Romanesque Gothic and Tuscan churches, tower houses (one of which you can climb to the top) and a Roman arena that has been "fossilized" in an oval square.
