WHEN WAS THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY STARTED ACCORDING TO YOU

The word photo was first used by the Englishman Sir John F. W. Herschel in 1840. Sir John named the image he obtained on the surface with the new method applied by the English scientist William Henry Fox Talbot (1800-1877), who was his close friend. Photography has been the center of attention since its creation, and has been used as a tool to immortalize and document history.

Of course he is. He is an American photographer who was born in 1986. Also he won many awards like PMDA Visionary Photographer Award, 2016, in Las Vegas. This is one of his photos

My dear friend Alp, photos sometimes confront us with the realities of the world. Isn't it?

Absolutely. For example, there are many photographs that shed light on the history of hunger.

I want to tell you about an impressive photo with an interesting story.

The photographer who took this photo is Kevin Carter. After taking this photo, he was traumatized for leaving her girl alone there, and he couldn't stand it and committed suicide.

It's really impressive. I would also like to show you the photos that I find impressive. Would you like to see?

This is another photo I find impressive.

It was shot in Somalia in 1992 by James Nachtwey. She lifts the lifeless body of her child, who died of famine.

I would love to.

The photograph taken by Jean Marc Bouju in Rwanda in 1994 reveals the drama of the people struggling with the disease and the result of the conflict between Rwandan rebels and state forces.

The photo below was taken in 1980 by Michael Wells. A photo of a starving child and a missionary in Uganda.

Yes, Can you give me one famous photographer about Human and Differences?

Well,how about İzzet Keribar?İzzet Keribar is a famous photographer who was born in 1936, in Istanbul.He has a great place in turkish photography.

Really? Can you explain him with his photos?

My pleasure.For example, this photo was taken when he was a  volunteer soldier in Korea.

Wow! They really amazed me. Even if they were poor they were happy.It shows us without money people can be happy.

And This is another photo about  Korea. These photos help us to see how  was  the situation of korean people.As you can see they were poor.

That's correct. Skin,language,disabled peoople,diffrent life styles don't make people unhappy. But if people make a fun with their diffrences, it can be unkind.

I agree with you.Nobody wants to be disabled,blackish,diffrent languages and life styles.We should look their humanity. Thank you for giving me these informations and showing these photos

Merve, you know what? Photography is not just an art, it is a mirror reflecting social events. It reflects the events that happened to the innocent people most affected by the war.

Yeah, I know.The photos are really jarring.

In November1950, our first female photographer ,Semiha ES, photographed the Turkish Bridgade participating in the Korean War.

Who is he?

He is an humanitarian photographer and he wants to capture the dignity of people living in conflicts or whith human rights problems.  He was bor in Spain.

He has been working in places such as Africa, Asia, Latin America...and he was very concerned about the effect of the anti-personnel mines.

The world’s first photo made in a camera was taken in 1826 by Joseph Nicephore Niepce.The photograph was taken from the upstairs Windows of Niepce’s estate in the Burgundy region of France.

Woovvv!We should know the importance of Technology.Technology has made our lives easy.Technology has improved Communication, Transportation, Education & Learning process, Health-Care and many other infrastructure business areas.But we should know how to use it in the right way.The overuse of technology may have some negative effects also.We shouldn’t forget this.

   Merve, now a proverb has come to my mind: You can separate a human from his/her homeland, but you cannot separate the homeland from human. Isn't that meaningful? 

  When we look at the history of the world, these photographs immortalize people who had to migrate for various reasons.

   Gilles Peress (born December 29, 1946) is a French photographer and a member of Magnum Photos.

  Peress began working with photography in 1970, having previously studied political science and philosophy in Paris. One of Peress’ first projects examined immigration in Europe, and he has since documented events in Northern Ireland, Lebanon, Palestine, Iran, the Balkans, Rwanda, the U.S., Afghanistan and Iraq.

   We could end our book with a farewell shot from Gilles Peress, how do you say?  

  Yes, as you can see history, nature, art, hunger, differences, war, human rights, animals, technology, traditionals and migration are all for people. Photography, on the other hand, is one of the most beautiful arts that immortalize the human moment.
