Three brothers with different gifts encounter death and make wishes. Death collects the souls of the two older brothers, but the youngest outsmarts him and passes on his cloak before willingly going with death.

A red oni and a blue oni, initially feared by the town, devise a plan to change their perception. The plan works, but the blue oni disappears. The red oni finds a letter from the blue oni and invites him back, leading to friendship and acceptance.
