2. A New Land

“Wha-...?” Scott started to say, then paused mid-sentence. He looked around, then screamed. 

“Shut up!” Starlet yelled, opening her eyes.

“Who are you guys?” Charlotte asked.

They all looked at each other and screamed. A whole lot of, “Who are you?” and screaming went on. 

“Wait,” Charlotte started, noticing the rings on each of their hands. “Starlet? Scott?”

“Yeah?” they asked in unison. 

“Its me, charlotte.” Charlotte said. 

“Um, that is such a lie. Charlotte has black hair and brown eyes.” Scott said. 

“I know. I did. I don't know what happened, but clearly we all look different. And we have these things on our heads.” Charlotte said, tapping on the bump on her head. It looked like a small unicorn horn, but she still had hands and feet and a face. Unicorns 

were horses, not human.

“It is you!” Scoot said.

“Um, guys, were not alone.” Starlet said, pointing at the unicorns all around them. They were all different colors and sizes. They paid no attention to their new visitors. 

“What is this place?” Charlotte asked. 

“I don't know, but cotton candy grass? Im totally in!” Starlet said, grabbing a bunch and eating it. Scott slapped her hand.

“Stop! These um...unicorns have stepped all over this stuff! You don't know what kind of diseases it could have!” Scott said. Charlotte looked through her backpack, searching for a mirror. She found one in the third pocket and shrieked.

Her long black hair was now golden, her eyes a dark blue, but the biggest change was her skin! It was a light cyan, and there was a horn sticking out of her forehead.

Starlet grabbed the mirror out of her hand and screamed. Her hair was silver now, her eyes light blue. She, like her sister, had a horn.

“LET ME SEE!” Scott screamed. He grabbed the mirror and instantly threw it back. Green hair! Green eyes! He looked like a green bean with a horn. He groaned and buried his face in his hands. 

Starlet pat his head. “Its okay Scott.” 

“Starlet! Your ring!” Charlotte said, painting to the words that now glowed above the ring.

“Summon tent, sleeping bags, and food?” Starlet said. Just then, a big green tent appeared next to them, along with three blue sleeping bags, and some vegetables.

“Um. Ok. Charlotte, set up the tent, I will handle the sleeping bags, and Scott, um make food.” Starlet said.

“Veggies? Heck no.” Scott said.

“Deal with it Scott!” Charlotte yelled. They went to work. After Charlotte set up the tent, Starlet set up the inside. Then they sat in the blue and pink cotton candy grass for dinner. 

Scott handed them each a vegetable. They bit into them and grinned, it tasted like oreo cake. Charlotte shot Scott a smug smile and he rolled his eyes.

“Come on guys, we should go to bed.” Starlet said, heading into the tent. The others followed, and soon they were all in bed. Charlotte dozed off pretty quickly, but Starlet stared at the stars, through the see through tent roof. 

“Starlet?” Scott said quietly.

“Yeah?”

“What are we gonna do?”

“I dont know…” 

“Im afraid. This place is awesome, but its not home. I miss mom, and our friends.”

“I know. But lets just go to bed okay? We can figure all of this out in the morning.” Starlet said, closing her eyes. Soon, they were both asleep, dreaming about going home. Well, not Starlet, she was dreaming of eating cotton candy grass.
