Once upon a time there was a girl named Leila who lived with her father in Tokyo.

His father, named Karl, worked in one of the most important technology companies in the region as a technician.

One day, he went out to work while Leila went to school. The day went smoothly until Karl went to the company file cabinet to organize some papers and heard one of his co-workers talking on the phone. He was hatching a plot to steal the company.

Karl took out his phone and recorded the conversation; but when he was leaving as quietly as possible, his partner named David noticed that someone was there. Karl quickly ran and went to the chief's office to warn him of the plot.

When he was arriving, for security, he checked that no one was there and saw David at the boss's door keeping watch.

Karl noticed that David had a gun holstered, so he decided to go home so he could tell his boss the next day.

When he arrived, it was very late and Leila was asleep, so he went to sleep too.

The next morning Karl told his daughter everything that had happened the day before and she was worried but told him that after they ratted him out they would be safe.

Karl had saved the conversation in a memory for security and went to work, he went to the boss's office but before he got there he received a call on his cell phone. In this, a voice told him that if he wanted to keep his daughter alive, he should go down to the basement of the company as soon as possible.

She immediately ran to the basement and David appeared out of the darkness. It turns out that he checked the security cameras and discovered that Karl had heard the entire conversation. Karl tried to reason, but David didn't listen; Suddenly, he pulled out his gun and fired.

Leila was worried all day and when she returned from class her father was not there; she thought it could be normal but at the same time something told her that she had to go see what had happened.

Then she tried to call him but he didn't answer, which scared her even more; so he decided to go find out.

Upon arrival, she said who she was and asked about her father, but no one knew what had happened to him. Leila toured the entire company until she reached the basement, when she entered she saw her father lying on the floor with his cell phone completely destroyed, hugged him and burst into tears.

She felt something strange in her shirt pocket and found the memory where David's conversation was also; he picked her up and was about to call an ambulance when he heard someone approaching.

She saw David, but since she didn't know who he was, she didn't recognize him. She went to ask her for help but as she got up she saw that David had a gun in his hand and the girl quickly left the basement, but David followed her, she did not know what was going to happen and when David was about to shoot her, a boy she took the gun out of his hands while another boy and a girl pinned him down.

As they were about to arrest him, David escaped and

jumped out a window. The boys went to ask Leila what had happened but she, in tears, left the company.

Days after the funeral, Leila was taken in by her aunt Lawrence. That day Leila thought a lot about the three people she had seen trying to arrest David because they did not look like the police, because of the way they dressed and the devices they used while struggling with David.
