Chapter One

We are shaking with fright, scared to death. There is a loud ROAAAR from outside the tent. I huddled up closer to Nate. If the creature even DARED to come in here and hurt my brother that beast is dead meat. I gulped loudly, shivering. It was a cold in there despite the hot weather outside. I took raggedy breaths, trying not to make a sound. I could hear Nate beside me, teeth chattering with the cold. I whispered to him¨Don`t worry, we are going to get out of here.¨ ¨Yeah I hope¨he muttered, scornfully. ¨ROAAAAAAAAARRRRRR¨ The animal was getting mad. Really mad.

Chapter Two

I couldn´t help smiling but I quickly restrained myself putting a scared look on my face. If Nate saw me he would collapse. Suddenly our tent started shaking. ROAAAARRR went the animal and down fell our tent. It was a lion. A big, fierce, strong lion. It leaped at me and I rolled away, aching all over. I dodged and twisted and turned, trying to get away from it.

I ran to Nate and stood protectively in front of him. The lion ran at us and I lost my courage. ¨RUN!¨ I screamed at Nate, and I fled. Nate ran the other way so I yelled at him.¨Try come over here¨ He edged his way towards me going very slowly and ever so carefully. The lion eyed us warily as if we were going to pounce.

Chapter Three

I took a few deep breaths and shut my eyes. `I can do this´ I said to myself. ¨Lacey RUN!¨ Nate screeched at me. I opened my eyes and saw the lion only a meter away from me. I screamed and ran away, still screaming in terror. ¨Lacey shut up¨Nate hissed. I started at him like he was a lunatic. ¨Nate we are about to die and you tell me to SHUT UP?!¨ ¨Well, one we are not about to die¨ he pointed out. ¨And two¨ he continued.¨ You scream like a girl¨
