Marilan McCray is an intermediate ELA teacher who loves to inspire her students to try new genres in reading. Most of her students avoided reading historical fiction. She wrote this book to encourage her students to inquire about different historical events. Over the years, she has experienced students discovering the enjoy in reading and writing.
This book is a science fiction narrative. Look for the various figurative language phrases and sentences: similes, personification, alliteration, hyperbole,idiom, imagery, and onomatopoeia. There are opportunity for students to edit and revise sections if projected to the class: spelling, conventions, word choice, and capitalization corrections.
