I am the principal of the Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Education Program in Charlottesville, Va. A student and I created this story as our first book! All of the paintings are student work or murals in our building.

Just Be Me

Young children struggle with just being themselves and finding comfort in their own skin. This story explores being your own person, regardless of what other people want or think you should be. My hope is, one day every person can feel comfortable just being themselves.
